The Estrella Damm Top 50 Gastropubs Awards 2024 results are in, revealing the best places for pub grub in the UK.

As voted for by more than 350 industry experts, The Unruly Pig in Woodbridge scooped first place. Named by the Michelin Guide in 2021 as one of the top six food pubs in the east of England, the pub was praised for its filling and well-crafted food, seasonal menus, changing specials, and beautiful setting.

"Winsome and warm, Suffolk's Unruly Pig serves filling and well-crafted pub food in an environment that reflects the personalities of the people behind the stunning venue," say the judges. "Unruly by name, unruly by nature. The stunning Unruly Pig was the first pub in Suffolk to take the top spot on the Estrella Damm Top 50 Gastropubs list which it rightfully did in 2022 and has once again claimed the top spot."

Meanwhile, The Cornish Arms in Tavistock came in second place, with The Mariners in Rock coming in third. Described by the panel as "a must-visit gastropub for staycationers and international tourists alike," the latter is driven by food that puts a smile on every customer's face.
